Delta Dirt Distillery, the family-owned farm and distillery in Helena West-Helena, announced on its Facebook page today that its Sweet Blend Vodka won the prestigious Double Gold award at the San Francisco World Spirits Competition.

A Double Gold medal is awarded to the entries that receive a Gold medal rating by all members of the judging panel. Delta Dirt’s flagship Sweet Blend Vodka is distilled with sweet potatoes and corn, both grown on the family farm.

The spirits competition was founded in 2000 and is known as one of the industry’s most influential competitions. It’s the second oldest spirits competition in the world and the oldest in the US. According a recent Forbes article, the competition saw a record 5,000 entrants in 2022, making it the largest spirits competition in the world. Last year’s SFWSC had 3,800 entrants, up 20% from the 2020 competition.

Delta Dirty Distillery was founded in 2017 by Harvey and Donna Williams and their three adult children Donavan, Thomas and TaHara.
